Below we describe some specific attention points for the connector for Exact Online.
LedgerAmounts ór LedgerTransactions
To prevent unnecessary (double) imports, it is important to choose the LedgerAmounts or LedgerTransactions table.
The difference between the LedgerAmounts and LedgerTransactions is that the LedgerTransactions table contains all individual transaction lines and the LedgerAmounts table contains the balances per general ledger account, per period, per cost center and per cost unit. In a large administration with many transactions, the LedgerAmounts table can become very large and slow. But in an administration with many cost centers/cost units, the LedgerAmounts table can also become very large and slow. It depends on the administration which table is best suited.
In any case, it is unnecessary to read both of these tables. From the LedgerTransactions table you can easily calculate the amounts per general ledger account, period, cost center and cost unit with DAX.
Users and employees
In Exact Online there is a difference between Users and Employees. Users are the users who have a useraccount to log in into Exact Online, where employees don’t have a useraccount. In Exact Online Quotations and SalesOrders are linked to a user, but booked hours are linked to an employee. In the connector both tables, Users and Employees, are available.
LeaveHours and LeaveHoursByDay
The table LeaveHours contains the hours of leave taken, with the total number of hours per leave registration (from and to date). The table LeaveHoursByDay shows the hours of leave taken with the number of hours per day. Both tables only contain the hours of leave taken, the automatically accrued hours of leave are not available in the Exact Online API. (Note: the table LeaveHoursByDay is not yet available in Exact Online Belgium.)
AbsenceHours and AbsenceHoursByDay
The table AbsenceHours contains the registered absence hours, with the total number of hours per absence registration (from and to date). The table AbsenceHoursByDay shows the registered absence hours with the number of hours per day. (Note: the table AbsenceHoursByDay is not yet available in Exact Online Belgium.)
